Photos of Turtle Bay

This is beautiful and small Turtle bay. Home to the Asian small clawed otters. Had the rescued otters not been brought to me, I would not have know if it's significance. Because Palawan's otters are nocturnal, not one study has been done of them, and they have eluded researchers. But just because you don't see them, doesn't mean they aren't there.

Turtle bay is also a very important fish nursery and it harbors 108 varieties of clams and shells, two of which are very rare.

The waters of Turtle bay are turbid or brackish. They will never be as clear as the photos shown in the artist renditions for the Ocean Park. It is too shallow for a "World Class Yacht Club, a place to see and been seen".

PLEASE! SIGN MY PETITION TO KEEP THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF PALAWAN.  Do not let it be destroyed like Boracay.

Note the narrow mouth of bay top of screen. The far right tip will be completely bulldozed to put in the massive hotels proposed by Seven Seas properties.  Can you picture the far hills with 5 hotels and mangrove villas in the little bay. How about a "world class marina"?  The buildings you see in the foreground are the native huts of the local fishermen, who will surely be displaced.

Turtle bay. The far opposite shore is slated for a massive Ocean Park. Where once there are
pristine mangroves and greenery, will be buildings touted as larger than Manila Ocean Park.

A native fishing village on the opposite shore. Surely their livelihood will be compromised.

Ancient mangroves will be compromised as well as the life therein.
